Welcome to the Arizona Diamondbacks Blog!
The Arizona Diamondbacks are on fire! They swept the three-game series against the Colorado Rockies and have now won 18 of their last 21 games. This winning streak has catapulted them into postseason contention, marking their longest streak since last August.
On Wednesday, the Diamondbacks put on a show against the Rockies. Eugenio Suárez stole the spotlight by hitting a grand slam and racking up five RBIs. Joc Pederson also contributed with two early runs, leading the Diamondbacks to an 11-4 victory.
Arizona’s dominance was evident from the start, taking a 4-0 lead in the first inning. The Rockies struggled defensively, and Arizona took full advantage, extending their lead to 6-1 after five innings.
Suárez’s grand slam in the sixth inning sealed the deal for the Diamondbacks, sending the ball into the left-center seats for a commanding 10-3 lead.
Despite a late rally from the Rockies, the Diamondbacks held strong, ultimately securing their sixth consecutive win. The Rockies committed three errors and hit four batters, adding to their woes.
Lefty Jordan Montgomery delivered a solid performance on the mound for the Diamondbacks, allowing three runs over six innings while striking out a season-high eight batters.
With this win, the Diamondbacks are riding high as they head into a challenging nine-game road trip to Tampa Bay, Miami, and Boston.
