Tragedy Strikes in Glendale: 66-Year-Old Man Killed in Bicycle Accident

Thursday morning took a tragic turn in Glendale, Arizona, when a 66-year-old man lost his life in a devastating bicycle accident. The Glendale Police Department confirmed the heartbreaking news of the man’s passing.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. near the intersections of 51st and Glendale avenues, leaving the man with severe and life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to the hospital.

The southbound roadway between 51st and Glendale avenues and 51st and Maryland avenues has been closed by authorities for further investigation. The timeline for reopening the road remains uncertain at this time.

Notably, the driver involved in the accident was the one to report the incident, and there is no suspicion of impairment playing a role in the crash. The identity of the deceased man has not been disclosed by the police.
