Student Arrested for Bringing Pellet Gun to Chinle High School Homecoming Dance
Security was heightened at Chinle High School’s homecoming dance when Navajo Police Department officers were alerted to a potential threat. Reports came in that an 18-year-old student may have been armed, leading to a swift response from law enforcement.
During a routine security check at the dance, officers located the student in question and apprehended them without incident. The student was found in possession of a pellet hand gun, prompting their arrest on the spot.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the rest of the students in attendance were safely released to their parents. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with authorities withholding the identity of the suspected student at this time.
