False Bomb Threat Causes Brief Alarm at Cesar Chavez High School
A phone call received Tuesday morning at Cesar Chavez High School in Phoenix led to a brief scare as the campus was placed on lockdown while law enforcement investigated the situation.
The call, made by an unidentified person, mentioned a bomb on the school premises, prompting staff to take immediate action and contact the authorities.
Following protocols, the school went into shelter-in-place mode as police conducted a thorough investigation. Fortunately, it was determined that the threat was false and had no validity, according to statements from Phoenix police and the Phoenix Union High School District.
With the all-clear given, Cesar Chavez High School will resume its normal schedule, but police are still actively investigating the incident to determine the source of the fake threat.
In a statement, the district emphasized the seriousness of making threats and assured families of their ongoing cooperation with law enforcement to ensure the safety and security of the school environment.
