A somber investigation is underway in Queen Creek, Arizona after firefighters discovered a body in a home following a house fire near Hunt Highway and Power Road. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation into this heartbreaking incident.

According to Queen Creek police, the Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department responded to a house fire on the 26600 block of South 187th Street at approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday. Tragically, after extinguishing the flames, responders found a body inside the home.
The investigation is now in the hands of detectives who are tasked with determining the cause of death of the individual found in the home. As of now, little is known about the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
