Volunteers Needed at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona
Are you looking to make a difference in a child’s life? Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona is in urgent need of volunteers to mentor children who are currently on a waiting list.
Right now, there are 200 boys and girls eagerly waiting to be matched with mentors. Some of them may have to wait up to three years without more volunteers stepping up to help.
12News’ Ginger Jeffries recently had a conversation with Big Brother Edwin and Little Brother Eric, who shared their heartwarming experience with the program.
Edwin and Eric, who were matched in 2022, enjoy various activities together, including going to sporting events, working out, and volunteering to pack food boxes. Eric expressed how Edwin has been instrumental in guiding him towards a brighter future.
If you are considering volunteering, Edwin encourages you to start small and take that first step towards changing a child’s life. Your involvement can make a significant impact and create lasting memories for both you and your mentee.
