Travel Alert: How to Navigate a 10-Mile Backup on Interstate 17 in Arizona12News+: Your Source for Live News

Are you stuck in traffic on southbound Interstate 17 near Black Canyon City in Arizona? Well, you’re not alone! A massive 10-mile backup has been reported due to a crash that closed a lane, causing major delays for drivers. But don’t worry, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has some tips to help you get around the traffic jam.

According to ADOT, the crash is blocking the left lane at milepost 246, just north of Black Canyon City. To avoid the backup, drivers are advised to exit I-17 at State Route 260 near Camp Verde. From there, take SR 260 eastbound to SR 87, also known as the Beeline Highway, and continue southbound into the Valley.

For those who prefer to stay on I-17, be prepared for delays. ADOT suggests checking real-time road conditions on AZ511.gov, using the AZ511 app, or calling 511 for the latest updates.

This situation is still developing, and more details will be provided as they become available. Stay tuned for updates!
