Mesa K9 Sniffs Out Almost Two Pounds of Heroin and Cocaine During Traffic Stop
On September 16, Mesa police officers made a significant drug bust after pulling over a car and utilizing their K9 unit. The K9, named Nick, proved his worth by uncovering almost two pounds of heroin and cocaine hidden inside the vehicle.
The Fiesta Street Crimes unit of the Mesa Police Department conducted the traffic stop suspecting drug trafficking. With K9 Nick’s help, officers discovered 1.1 pounds of heroin, 0.75 pounds of cocaine, a firearm, and $2,700 in cash during a search of the car.
As of now, the suspect remains unidentified, and the charges they will face have not been revealed. This is an ongoing investigation, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
