Have you ever seen those clever safety messages on Arizona’s highways and wondered who comes up with them? Well, it turns out that it could be you! Arizonans recently submitted over 2,500 ideas to the Arizona Department of Transportation’s 8th annual Safety Message Contest, and now it’s time to vote for your favorite ones.

From now until August 20th, you can cast your vote for the best safety messages at azdot.gov/SignContest. The two winning messages will be displayed on ADOT’s overhead signs across the state, reminding drivers to practice safe behaviors like not speeding or texting while driving.

ADOT Director Jennifer Toth expressed her gratitude for the thousands of submissions, stating, “We hope drivers in Arizona continue to have conversations about safe driving behaviors so everyone can make it safely to their destination.”

Check out the 10 finalists below and let us know which message is your favorite!
