The Buenas Communities LLC Rent Refund Story

The tenants of Buenas Communities LLC were recently faced with a health hazard due to a lack of proper air conditioning in the apartment complex. In response to this, Buenas Communities LLC has announced that tenants will be refunded one month’s rent as a form of compensation for the inconvenience caused.

A special event was organized by Buenas Communities LLC for the residents of Buenas on 32nd, an apartment complex located in Phoenix. The event included food, free face-painting, and raffle prizes as a token of appreciation and cooperation towards the residents who had endured two months without adequate air conditioning.

Despite the lawsuit filed against Buenas Communities LLC by Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes for various issues, including the lack of proper air conditioning, the company’s general contractor, Steven Hernandez, denied the allegations. He mentioned that efforts were made to resolve the air conditioning issue, with employees working long hours to ensure the comfort of the residents.

While there were conflicting accounts of when the air conditioning problem started, Hernandez assured that the issue has been fixed, with a new chiller system in place. The temperature in the apartments was tested and found to be well below the 82-degree limit set by Phoenix City Code.

One resident, Heather Boyles, expressed relief that her AC was finally working after two months of discomfort. She emphasized the importance of proper cooling, especially for residents with medical conditions. While grateful for the resolution, she felt that a formal apology from management should have accompanied the rent refund.

The management of Buenas Communities LLC acknowledged the need for an apology and stated that a rent refund equivalent to one month’s rent would be given to the affected tenants. The timeline for the refund distribution was not disclosed.
