Earlier in 2022, Wolfe had shared news of Fritz’s hospitalization following a stroke, urging viewers to keep his co-host in their thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, Fritz never fully recovered from the stroke and had been under temporary guardianship since then.

His departure from “American Pickers” in 2020 marked the end of an era for the show, as he bid farewell to his role as co-host after many years of entertaining fans.
