The Legacy of Frank Fritz: Remembering the Co-Host of American Pickers

Frank Fritz, the beloved co-host of the popular antique-hunting show “American Pickers,” has passed away, leaving fans and friends alike in mourning. His longtime partner on the show, Mike Wolfe, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, expressing his deep sadness at the loss of his dear friend.

The pair had embarked on countless adventures together, spanning many miles and making cherished memories along the way. Wolfe’s touching tribute to Fritz highlighted their close bond and the profound impact Fritz had on those around him.

Annette Oberlander, another close friend of Fritz, revealed that he passed away at a hospice facility in Davenport, Iowa, where she and Wolfe were by his side in his final moments. Contrary to some reports, Fritz was 60 years old at the time of his passing, not 58.

Earlier in 2022, Wolfe had shared news of Fritz’s hospitalization following a stroke, urging viewers to keep his co-host in their thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, Fritz never fully recovered from the stroke and had been under temporary guardianship since then.

Described by Wolfe as a dreamer with a sensitive and funny spirit, Fritz endeared himself to audiences with his authenticity and humor. His departure from “American Pickers” in 2020 marked the end of an era for the show, as he bid farewell to his role as co-host after many years of entertaining fans.
