The Arrest of Ryan Romero-Encinas in Connection with the Murder of Minhaj Jamshidi
Breaking news out of Tucson! 20-year-old Ryan Romero-Encinas was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in connection with the shooting and killing of 19-year-old Minhaj Jamshidi. The arrest took place at the Riverwalk Luxury Apartments without incident.
The tragic incident occurred late Sunday night around 11 p.m. when police responded to a parking lot near the Arizona Sonora Residence Hall where Jamshidi was found with gunshot wounds. The shooting took place next to the volleyball courts, just feet away from the freshman dorms. Freshmen in the area expressed feeling shaken up and uneasy following the deadly shooting.
