Avondale, Arizona witnessed a horrifying incident near Van Buren Street and Litchfield Road when a 17-year-old boy was shot and rushed to the hospital in critical condition, as confirmed by Avondale police. Another juvenile boy was detained by authorities following the shooting.
The authorities responded swiftly to a shooting report at the aforementioned location on Wednesday. Upon their arrival, they discovered the 17-year-old victim inside an apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was immediately taken to the hospital and is currently in critical condition. The detained juvenile boy is under investigation by detectives on the ground.
