Tragic Accident Claims a Life in Phoenix
Early on a Friday morning, tragedy struck in the streets of Phoenix as a pedestrian was fatally hit by a car. The Phoenix police department confirmed the devastating news.
Authorities received a distress call around 5 a.m. reporting a collision involving a pedestrian near 44th and Van Buren streets. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with severe injuries.
Despite efforts to save him, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, as confirmed by officials.
The drivers involved in the accident cooperated with authorities and remained at the scene to provide statements. As a result of the incident, Van Buren Street has been closed from 40th to 44th streets and is expected to remain shut down for an extended period while investigations take place.
