Wildfires can be a terrifying sight, especially when they close major roadways. Currently, a semi-fire has led to the closure of State Route 87 between the Valley and Payson, as reported by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).

The fire is located near milepost 212, causing significant disruption to traffic flow in both directions. This incident has also sparked a brush fire in the surrounding area.

Unfortunately, there is no estimated time for when State Route 87 will reopen, so commuters are advised to seek alternative routes if possible.

This situation is continually developing, and as more information becomes available, it will be updated accordingly.
