Are you looking for a furry friend to bring into your home? The Pima Animal Care Center in Arizona is calling for residents to step up and either adopt or foster an animal from their shelter.

The shelter recently faced a challenging situation when they took in 88 dogs from a single home in southern Arizona, pushing their capacity to a record high of 628 dogs. These dogs were removed from a property that was being condemned, and most of them were surrendered by the owner.

Monica Dangler, the Director of PACC, expressed the urgent need for the community’s support in fostering, adopting, or facilitating rescue transfers to alleviate the strain on resources, staff, and volunteers at the shelter.

If you’re considering welcoming a dog into your home, PACC is currently offering free adoptions and can provide necessary supplies for residents interested in fostering. More details can be found here.
