Tragedy Strikes in Tempe: Five Dead in Mobile Home Fire
On August 25, a devastating fire broke out in a mobile home near Kyrene and Baseline roads in Tempe. The aftermath of this tragic incident has now claimed the lives of five individuals, leaving the community in mourning.
The Victims
The victims of this heartbreaking incident include 51-year-old Monica Ruiz, 3-year-old Ariareli “Rose” Ruiz, 24-year-old Enrique “Junior” Ruiz, 18-month-old Ellany Ruiz, and 22-year-old Valerie Magana-Gonzalez. The entire family was inside the home at the time of the fire, which resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.
The Tragic Outcome
Despite the valiant efforts of first responders and medical professionals, the mother, Monica Ruiz, succumbed to her injuries after fighting for her life for over two weeks, becoming the fifth fatality of this devastating fire.
Investigation Ongoing
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities from the Tempe Police Department and Tempe Fire Medical Rescue Department are diligently working to determine the circumstances that led to this tragedy.
