Shocking news out of Canton, Ohio, as 27-year-old Allexis Ferrell was captured on bodycam footage being arrested for allegedly eating a cat. This disturbing incident took place on Friday, Aug. 16, in the 1100 block of 13th Street SE, leading to Ferrell facing charges of animal cruelty.
The Canton Police Department responded to multiple calls about the incident and arrived on the scene to find Ferrell in a disturbing state. Officers claimed that Ferrell had smashed the cat’s head with her foot before proceeding to eat the poor animal.
As a result, Ferrell was charged with prohibitions concerning companion animals, cruelty to animals, and disorderly conduct. The police report detailed how officers witnessed blood on Ferrell’s feet and fur on her lips, prompting the humane society to intervene and remove the cat from the scene.
Despite recent false claims about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, engaging in similar behavior, it is important to note that Ferrell is not Haitian. She was actually born in Ohio and graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 2015.
Ferrell is currently being held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stark County Common Pleas Court on Oct. 15 for a competency hearing. This shocking incident serves as a reminder of the importance of mental health awareness and the consequences of animal cruelty.
