Phoenix Police Officer Hospitalized after Incident in North Phoenix
Over the weekend, a Phoenix police officer was hospitalized following an incident at a north Phoenix apartment complex near 7th Avenue and Bell Road. The department tells us that the officer was injured when a man broke a window at the complex. Here are the latest details surrounding the incident.
The Phoenix police department received a call regarding a man threatening to harm himself with a knife at an apartment complex located at 17031 N 11th Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene and made contact with the man at the front door of the apartment, where they began giving him commands to come out.
Unfortunately, the situation took a turn when the man broke a window, causing the officer standing next to it to sustain minor injuries. The officer was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The suspect was later arrested and booked into the Maricopa County jail. As of now, no identities have been released.
