Help Find Stolen Work Truck with GoFundMe Page
Small business owners in Phoenix are pleading for help in finding their stolen work truck, which was taken with thousands of dollars worth of tools and supplies inside. The incident occurred near 36th Street and Thomas Road on Monday.
Mercadez Hernandez, one of the owners, shared, “They took everything. We were working with what we had like it wasn’t a beautiful truck, it was nothing new but we made what we had work because it was ours.”
The stolen truck is a 2003 black Chevy Silverado, which was reported missing from an apartment complex. Hernandez’s husband’s work truck served as their family’s only car and was crucial for their windshield replacement business, Full Blown Auto Glass. Unfortunately, without the truck, they have missed out on several insurance claims and cash jobs.
In addition to the tools and supplies, the truck also contained personal items like her husband’s wallet, social security card, and baby pictures. Phoenix Police are currently investigating the theft, and Hernandez remains hopeful that someone will recognize the truck and help her family get back to work.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the Hernandez family during this difficult time. Donations can be made here.
