Storm Damage Disrupts Cell Service at Saguaro Lake
If you’re planning a visit to Saguaro Lake this Labor Day weekend, be aware that cell service may not be reliable due to storm damage in the area. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has reported that the cell service outage is impacting communication at this popular Mesa location. While cellular providers are working to restore service, it is recommended that lakegoers utilize the call boxes available at the lake in case of an emergency.
There are two call boxes located at Butcher Jones and Bagley Flats, as well as an MCSO Aid Station near the Marina off Bush Highway. In addition to using the call boxes, individuals can also report emergencies in person at these locations.
As of now, there is no estimated time for when cell service will be fully operational in the area. The exact extent of the storm damage that caused the outage has not been specified by authorities.
