Tragic Incident: Arizona Women Killed in Mexico
Two Arizona women tragically lost their lives while traveling to Caborca, Sonora, Mexico on Friday. The women, identified as Enedina, 72, and Ubaldina, 82, were attacked by armed men in a stolen pickup truck along the highway between Sonoyta and Caborca.
The Fiscalía de Sonora (Sonora’s Attorney General’s Office) reported that the women were found dead inside a white Nissan Pathfinder, which had been struck by bullets and overturned in the incident.
An operation was launched by law enforcement authorities to apprehend the criminal group responsible for the attack. A stolen blue 2023 Ford F-150, containing firearms and magazines, was discovered in a nearby town, Plutarco Elías Calles.
The investigation into this tragic event is still ongoing, with state authorities actively pursuing leads to bring those responsible to justice.
