Tragic Incident in Lake Powell: Utah Man’s Body Recovered
Tragedy struck at Lake Powell in Wetherill Canyon as the body of 41-year-old Jackson Roy Law was recovered from the water by a dive team. The incident occurred when Law fell overboard from a privately owned houseboat, plummeting over 20 feet from an upper level.
The National Park Service was alerted to the situation at around 3 a.m. on Sunday and the dive team successfully retrieved Law’s body approximately 10 hours later. Unfortunately, Park Service rangers confirmed Law’s passing at the scene.
