The Diamondbacks Shine Bright in Sweeping the Red Sox
In an impressive display of dominance, the Arizona Diamondbacks swept the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park and are now looking to continue their winning streak as they open two series at home against the Mets and Dodgers.
Upon arriving in Boston to face a three-game series, the motivated Diamondbacks delivered a remarkable performance. Eugenio Suárez, in particular, stood out by hitting a grand slam and driving in five runs to lead the Diamondbacks to a decisive 12-2 victory over the Red Sox.
Ryne Nelson also showcased his pitching skills by holding the Red Sox to just two runs over six innings, further solidifying the Diamondbacks’ grip on the series.
The momentum continued on Saturday as Zac Gallen’s strong pitching performance combined with Eugenio Suárez’s clutch hitting led the Diamondbacks to a 4-1 win over the Red Sox.
On Sunday, Eugenio Suárez once again proved to be the hero by hitting a three-run home run, propelling the Diamondbacks to a 7-5 comeback victory and completing the sweep against the historic Red Sox.
With this impressive series sweep, the Diamondbacks maintain their hold on the top wild card spot in the National League, boasting a record of 75-56 and reaching a season-high of 19 games above .500.
Looking ahead, the Diamondbacks will seek to capitalize on their home-field advantage as they face the New York Mets on Tuesday and the Los Angeles Dodgers at Chase Field in the upcoming series.
