GRAND CANYON VILLAGE, Ariz. — In a heartwarming turn of events, a young boy who went missing from his campsite near the Grand Canyon was found Thursday morning in the nearby Grand Canyon Village, park service officials announced.

The boy reportedly wandered away from his campsite around midnight and was thankfully found safe at 9:45 a.m.

Details about how the boy made his way from the Mather Point campsite to Grand Canyon Village remain a mystery.
