Courtney Reese, a 32-year-old mother of four, tragically lost her life in a deadly shooting on Tuesday night. The incident took place along Springside Drive in southeast Atlanta, leaving the community shaken and her family devastated.

According to Atlanta Police, Courtney was found outside with multiple gunshot wounds, and despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries. The investigation is ongoing, but her family believes the suspect is someone she was previously involved with.

Adding to the tragedy, Courtney’s sister, Sametria Edwards-McCord, was also a victim of gun violence just months prior in DeKalb County. These heartbreaking losses have left their family in mourning and seeking justice for their loved ones.

As the community grapples with these senseless acts of violence, Reese’s family has set up an online fundraising campaign to help cover the costs of her funeral. They are also urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

These tragedies serve as a stark reminder of the prevalence of gun violence in our communities and the devastating impact it has on families. It is crucial for us to come together to support those affected and work towards creating safer environments for all.

If you have any information regarding either of these shootings, please contact Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS(8477) or submit an anonymous tip online at www.crimestoppersatlanta.org. Your contribution could help solve these cases and bring closure to the families involved.
