The Anchor of the Offensive Line: Hjalte Froholdt Signs Extension with the Arizona Cardinals
PHOENIX — The Arizona Cardinals have secured the future of their offensive line with a recent signing that has fans buzzing with excitement. On Wednesday, the team announced the contract extension of veteran center Hjalte Froholdt. While the financial details were not immediately disclosed, the extension locks Froholdt in with the Cardinals for two more years, set to represent the team through the 2026 season.
Aged 28, Froholdt demonstrated his prowess by starting all 17 games at center for the Cardinals in the previous season. Arriving as a free agent in Arizona last year, Froholdt had previously showcased his skills with stints at New England (2019-20) and Cleveland (2021-22). He was initially drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round (118th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft from the University of Arkansas.
Originally from Svendborg, Denmark, Froholdt’s journey into American football began during his time as a foreign exchange student in Ohio during high school. His dedication and talent have now earned him a key position in one of the most critical roles on the Cardinals’ roster.
