St. Luke’s Behavioral Health Facility Relocates Patients Due to HVAC System Issue
Over the weekend, St. Luke’s Behavioral Health facility in Phoenix faced an HVAC system problem that resulted in the relocation of 98 patients to other behavioral health facilities as a precautionary measure.
The facility encountered chiller issues late last week, prompting the installation of a new system over the weekend. Despite these efforts, the facility was still undergoing cooling processes as of Sunday evening.
In response to the situation, St. Luke’s issued a statement affirming their commitment to patient safety: “As that process continues, and out of an abundance of caution related to the heat, we have safely relocated 98 patients to other behavioral health facilities, consistent with our patient safety protocols. The health and safety of all our patients remain paramount, and we’ll keep our patients, their families, and the community informed.”
As of Monday, it remains unclear when patients will be able to return to the facility. Stay tuned to 12News for further updates on this developing situation.
