Exciting news is on the horizon for Disney fans as the company recently unveiled a plethora of upcoming movies and television series at the D23 convention. Disney CEO Bob Iger kicked off the showcase with a promise to entertain audiences of all ages with their new projects. And boy, did they deliver!
One of the major announcements made was the return of Andrew Stanton, director of the first two “Toy Story” films, to lead the highly anticipated “Toy Story 5.” Additionally, Pixar revealed that they are working on a third installment of “The Incredibles,” much to the delight of fans.
The evening was filled with surprises and live performances, including a jaw-dropping appearance by Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho from “Moana,” who performed a song from the upcoming “Moana 2.” The first full-length trailer for the film was also released online, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect.
Other exciting reveals included the announcement of a live-action “Monster Jam” movie by Dwayne Johnson and the development of a “Star Wars” series titled “Skeleton Crew,” set to debut on Disney+ in December. Additionally, Pixar shared plans for a third “The Incredibles” film and an original movie titled “Hoppers.”
But that’s not all! Fans were also treated to sneak peeks of “Frozen III,” “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” and “Zootopia 2,” all set to hit theaters in the coming years. With such a diverse and exciting lineup, Disney is definitely keeping fans on the edge of their seats!
