Prescott Valley, Arizona – In a concerning incident, a fourth-grade student at a charter school in Prescott Valley was found to have brought a gun to school on Monday, as reported by the Prescott Valley Police Department. The gun was not loaded, and the student did not have any ammunition in their possession.

Quick response from officers was crucial as they arrived at the Acorn Montessori School at 10:15 a.m. upon receiving a report about a student with a gun on campus. Thankfully, no bullets were found in the gun, and the student did not have any ammunition with them.

According to Prescott Valley police, the student revealed that the intention behind bringing the firearm to school was to show it off and there was no direct threat to other students or staff. However, an investigation into the specifics of the incident is currently ongoing.

The student was taken into custody by the Prescott Valley police. This incident serves as a reminder to parents to have open conversations with their children about gun safety.
