Car Crashes Into Building in Apache Junction
Over the weekend, a frightening incident occurred near the Elks Lodge in Apache Junction, Arizona. Reports from the Apache Junction Police Department indicate that a car crashed into the building, resulting in multiple people being hospitalized. Here’s what we know so far.
The crash took place at the Elks Lodge, located at 2455 N Apache Trail, just east of the intersection of Lost Dutchman Boulevard and Apache Trail. The Superstition Fire and Medical District reported that a truck rammed into the restaurant, causing injuries to 15 individuals inside.
Fortunately, no children were harmed in the accident. The driver of the truck has been apprehended by AJPD, although details of the charges have not been disclosed. SFMD confirmed that some victims are in serious condition but have been stabilized.
The City of Apache Junction released a statement expressing sympathy for those affected by the incident and praising the efforts of first responders. The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
