Early Friday morning, tragedy struck a quiet neighborhood near Cactus and Dysart roads in El Mirage, Arizona. A house fire broke out, claiming the life of an elderly woman.

The incident was first noticed by a police officer who was responding to an unrelated call in the area at around 5:30 a.m. The fire department quickly arrived on the scene and began efforts to extinguish the flames.

Once the fire was under control, emergency responders entered the residence and tragically discovered the lifeless body of the elderly woman.
